Extra weight - the impact
Having a few extra pounds is something that could shake the self-confidence of the
most beautiful, smart and rich human being; it makes us feel unbalanced and insecure
of our potential. This is what gaining some extra weight can do to us, we don’t
feel as attractive as we used to, we can’t make as much effort as before, we can’t
eat a cake without someone telling us “You should lay off those sweets; you have
become a little chunky lately!”
So that is how we get all these annoying complexes and end
up thinking that if we don’t look like a supermodel we shouldn’t show ourselves
on the street.
The real problem with the extra weight
The situation changes a little if the problem isn’t that you gained a few pounds.
The real problem is if you have gained as much as it makes you have health problems.
Obesity isn’t a game and even if everyone is probably tired of hearing these things
they have to be said; obesity isn’t just a superficial esthetical problem, it offers
us a few bonuses: heart and lungs conditions, inability to do things that normal
people usually do, psychological complexes that can lead to low self esteem and
depressing thoughts.
Is it that hard to get rid of the
extra weight?
I guess these are too many reasons for someone with weight problems not to try to
change their life. Is the price of a few diet pills such a fortune compared with
what you spend at the doctor when you feel your heart or breathing lets you down?
Or is it such a huge sacrifice not to eat after six in the evening and keep away
from sweets and fat foods during the winter knowing you will look great the next summer at the pool? I can only think about those women who get very fat during pregnancy
and then start to work out , go to nutritionists that give them advices on how and
what to eat to loose weight.
If they can become slim again in a year after their
pregnancy and regain their figure after becoming almost double their original size,
do you think you can’t? This was kind of a motivational speech, although it may
be unnecessary since you must be already in search for something to help you loose
weight. The fact is that there are many types of programs that can help anyone who
has this problem.
Extra weight - is there a solution?
The diet pills are the most widespread solution for this issue because they can
show radical results in a smaller period of
time than other methods. Diet pills are an easy alternative to starvation,
some say… They are available in many pharmacies or stores and on the internet and
have accessible prices that will seem a piece of cake compared to the outcome. You
can also try to keep radical diets but I believe everyone has reached the conclusion
that what ever you loose during such a regime you gain it all over again in no time
after stopping the program. Nevertheless, it is important to be aware of your diet
and try to keep it very balanced, avoiding fats and sweets.

Last but not least, start doing some sports! There are a few exercises that are
especially designed to make you loose weight but they are so boring that many people
give up from the first sessions: stretching, aerobics etc… The trick is to do exercises
without thinking that you are doing them to loose weight and because you have to;
find a sport that you enjoy, not necessarily something you are good at, something
that makes you relax and have a good time (tennis, volleyball, swimming), anything
is better for your figure than sitting on the couch thinking about chocolate and
ice cream that you will eventually go buy if you don’t distract yourself from these
thoughts. Find a sportive activity that you like and go for it. Start enjoying what
you do and that’s when you will see the results: when you stop looking for them!
