Healthy Life Style
It
comes a moment in our life when we want to look great. We think
and we really want to do something about it. Most people are
unhappy with the way they look. But when it comes to actually do
something about it very few take action.
To me this occurred recently. I like trips and hiking but
going to the gym was always to much for me. This is just who I
am!
So, I don't know if it is the age or maybe
because I se more and more fat people but I start thinking
healthy, I start thinking diet and I start thinking exercise. As
a youngster I couldn't care less about what, when and how much I
eat. But with age you start worrying about your health, you
start making lifestyle changes. Anyone else feel the same ?
When your diet fails,
everything falls apart along with it. You can't sleep,
you are nervous and inpatient, nothing is right!
So, what to do?
You are overwhelmed but you don't know what to do!
People are most resistant to change and you are no
different! It is just a matter of viewing things from the right
perspective.
Where do you start?
The very first thing you have to do is to see your
doctor for a physical! Make sure you are in good health
before starting anything like this. Cholesterol, blood work, do
the whole nine yards. Talk to your doctor about diet and
exercising. Make sure it is OK to do it.
Once you are cleared by the doctor your next step is to find
the right diet for you. Weight loss requires diets high in
vegetables and fruits. Reduce the amount of meat and
carbs in your food. That will help your weight loss
cause! Also back up your diet with exercises. Start with cardio,
maybe a walk, maybe an easy run to begin with and then increase
the amount of exercises. You can do it alone or even better
team-up with somebody else. It is just easier.
After getting comfortable with walking and jogging it is time
to go to the gym. If you can afford a
personal trainer that is the best. If not don't worry.
It only takes a little discipline to follow a gym program. For
the gym the treadmill is an excellent start. It is like the
walks you already did. Then you may want to look into
weight lifting. Be careful if you are not young
anymore. You don't want to feel overwhelmed and give up. Take it
easy, gradually increase the weight size.
